After the holidays, it's time to clean the house thoroughly. There is a lot of leftover food in the refrigerator that has to be properly sorted, as well as the device itself. Our refrigerators don't always receive the attention they deserve. As a result, we decided to give some helpful hints for keeping your fridge clean after the holidays.

  1. Empty the refrigerator.

First of all, it is necessary to empty the refrigerator of all food products. Bacteria can multiply rapidly at room temperature, so place dairy products, meat, and other perishable foods in the coolest place.

  1. Wash the shelves and clean the interior space.

Wash all shelves and trays thoroughly. If shelves or other parts are made of glass, it is best to warm them to room temperature to reduce the risk of them breaking when exposed to very hot water. Wipe the inside of the refrigerator well with a damp cloth, but do not forget to dry the inside thoroughly with paper towels or a clean tea towel.

  1. Sort the food.

After thoroughly cleaning the refrigerator, it is necessary to rearrange the food well. Throw away expired food, and put the leftover food in small containers so as not to take up unnecessarily large space that you may have originally needed, but no longer.

  1. Arrange consistently.

Sort the sorted food in the refrigerator according to its perishability. Also place fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, or other foods in the appropriate section.

  1. Clean exterior surfaces.

Once the refrigerator is completely cleaned from the inside, it is time to move on to cleaning the outside surfaces. Do not leave outside the refrigerator areas such as the handle and door hinges where the most amount of microbes may have accumulated during frequent contact. Use a damp cloth or glass cleaner to clean. It should be noted that in Vestel refrigerators, thanks to the specially designed inside, all corners are easily cleaned.

We hope these tips will serve as a ready-made list of instructions for cleaning up after the holiday season.
